When I was twelve or so, way before the digital camera age, I remember how excited I would be to get my hands on a disposable camera. Every time I got a camera I was so excited it lasted probably an hour. Horses, cows, dogs, and cats about the farm needed to be photographed right!?!

Later on back in high school, many years ago, I joined the yearbook staff. They made me an editor and I resented the fact that I wasn't able to be roaming about the school capturing moments in time. Well discouraged and insecure, I didn't take many pictures for years and years.

Then I met my husband, hater of the digital age where we snap photos and the phone dies and all our memories disappear. He is so correct, the pictures of our families, our children, our parents, our memories on the wall; they encourage and remind us, bring hope to our everyday lives, surround us with love and beauty.
